In this study, Dantzig’s Simplex method was used to study the optimization of sand casting parameters to obtain the best service performance. Some process variables and mechanical properties were adapted to the Simplex method. Aluminum alloy samples have undergone casting, processing and a series of mechanical tests. Based on the collected data, linear functions and constraint equations were formulated and used in Dantzig’s Simplex method to optimize process parameters. The results show that the Simplex method can be used to study the performance optimization of castings.
